Domestic: The market opened flat and witnessed no demand. The rates millers quoted today were as follows, Kolhapur belt ₹2920 to ₹2940, Pune-Ahmednagar belt ₹2930 to ₹2940. In Uttar Pradesh, M/30 was traded at ₹3200 to 3250. In Gujarat, S/30 was traded at ₹2980. Meanwhile, In Kolkata, S/30 was traded at ₹3460-₹3470. (Rates are excluding GST).
• International: The market was flat. London White Sugar trading at $352.30, whereas US Sugar trading at $13.08.
The FOB indication for raw sugar was at $298-$302 and Indian White Sugar at $312-$316
The demand of Raw Sugar range was ₹18300-18500/mt and White Sugar ₹19300-₹19500/MT on Ex.factory basis.
• Currency & Commodity: USD traded with INR at 71.03 meanwhile USD traded with BRL at 3.749, Crude Futures traded at ₹3660, WTI $47.20
• Looking at indices, benchmark indices closed higher for the third straight session on stock-specific action amid mixed cues from the global markets. After gyrating nearly 300 points, the BSE Sensex settled 52.79 points higher at 36374. The broader NSE Nifty inched up 14.90 points to 10905.
