The food ministry on 31st August 2022 announced a quota of 23.50 LMT for sale in the month of September 2022. The market sentiments were mixed, no major movement was witnessed in the market. The prices remained stable.

International Trade Market
At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract (SWV22) is trading at $554.70/ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract (SBV22) is trading at 17.83 c/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices:
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 79.607 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.1662 Crude futures traded at ₹6995, Crude WTI traded at $87.36/barrel. Sensex closed 770.48 points lower at 58,776.59 whereas Nifty ended 216.50 points higher at 17,542.80.
