Domestic Market
Kolhapur traded firm, others steady
Sugar prices at the major markets of Maharashtra saw a uptick on good demand amid limited supply. Prices at other centers reported steady. Lesser production in Maharashtra supporting the prices while good demand despite of higher monthly quota supporting the prices in the major centers.
According to Agrimandi.live, prices are expected to trade higher with a limited downside on lower supply in coming days. More rise is anticipated in Kolhapur market than Muzaffarnagar and spread between these markets are likely to narrow in coming days.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $691.10/ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract is trading at 25.07 c/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 81.806 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.0398, Crude futures traded at ₹5706, Crude WTI traded at $69.44/barrel. Sensex closed 161.41 points lower at 61193.30 whereas Nifty ended 57.80 points lower at 18089.85
