Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices surged in Maharashtra
Sugar prices in domestic markets rose despite significantly higher quotas due to strong demand and tightness of releasing of the sugar from millers. Reduced sugar availability is also supporting spot market prices. Prices in major markets increased by Rs 10 to 40 per quintal. Prices for S grades in Kolhapur remained stable between Rs 3,475 and Rs 3,510 while prices for M grades in Muzaffarnagar ranged between Rs 3,630 to Rs 3,675
According to AgriMandi.live, prices will likely trade in a broader range between Rs 3,400 to 3,550 /qntl. in Maharashtra & Rs 3,600 to 3,700 /qntl. in Uttar Pradesh.

International Market
At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $641.80 ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract is trading at 23.12 c/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 81.944 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 4.7870, Crude futures traded at ₹5853, Crude WTI traded at $71.31 barrel. Sensex closed 486.49 points higher at 65205.05 whereas Nifty ended 133.50 points higher at 19322.55
