Domestic Market:
The market witnessed scanty demand. Sugar prices are moderately lower across India.
State wise Prices as on 3rd September 2021 :
◾ Maharashtra: S/30 Sugar rates from millers are ₹3380 to ₹3480/Qntl. whereas M/30 is at ₹3530 to 3650/Qntl.
◾ Karnataka : S/30 Sugar rates were ₹3505 to 3580/Qntl. whereas M/30 is at ₹3555 to 3580/Qntl.
◾ Uttar Pradesh: The rate for M/30 is ₹ 3595 to 3645/Qntl.
◾ Gujarat : S/30 Sugar rates were ₹3571 to 3581/Qntl. whereas M/30 is at ₹3681/Qntl.
◾ Tamil Nadu: S/30 Sugar rates were at ₹3680 to 3750/Qntl. whereas M/30 rates were at ₹3750 to 3800/Quintal.

International Market:
Yesterday’s Closing:
On Thursday sugar prices closed higher on strength in crude prices. London White Sugar closed at $488.90/ton up $5.60 whereas New York Sugar closed up 0.23 points at 19.90 cents per pound.
Market Today :
The London White Sugar front month contract is trading at $485/tn whereas the New York Sugar front month contract is trading at 19.62/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices: The rupee traded against the US dollar at 72.982 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.1722 Crude futures traded at Rs.5105, Crude WTI traded at $69.88 a barrel. Sensex closed 277.41 points higher at 58,129.95 whereas Nifty ended 89.45 points higher at 17,323.60
