Domestic Market

Domestic prices were reported stable

After a sharp rise, domestic sugar prices in major markets were reported to be stable. Demand is said to be average, and prices are expected to remain under pressure as the crushing season nears its peak.

S-grade sugar in Kolhapur costs between Rs 3,410 and 3,450 per quintal, whereas M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar costs Rs 3,790 to 3,850. Agrimandi.live predicts that the price of Kolhapur S-grade sugar will fall between Rs 3,300 and Rs 3,480 per quintal in the near future.

The rupee traded against the US dollar at 85.739 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 6.1113, Crude WTI traded at $74.14 barrel. Sensex closed 234.12 points up at 78,199.11 whereas Nifty closed 91.85 points higher at 23,707.90
