The market witnessed moderate demand.
State wise prices today
◾ Maharashtra:S/30 Sugar rates from millers are ₹3200 to ₹3230/Qntl. whereas M/30 ₹3290 to 3350/Qntl.
◾ Karnataka : S/30 Sugar rates were ₹3275 to 3325/Qntl. whereas M/30 ₹3280 to 3375/Qntl.
◾ Uttar Pradesh: The rates for M/30 were at ₹3500 to 3525/Qntl.
◾ Gujarat: S/30 Sugar rates are ₹3261 to 3291/Qntl. whereas M/30 rates are at ₹3371 to 3471/Qntl.
◾ Tamil Nadu: S/30 Sugar rates are ₹3420 to 3475/Qntl. whereas M/30 rates are at ₹3475 to 3525/Qntl.

International Market:
Market Today:
The London White Sugar front month contract is trading at $506.70/ton whereas the New York Sugar front month contract is trading at 19.58/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices:
The rupee traded against the US dollar whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.6083, Crude futures traded at Rs.5445 Crude WTI traded at $72.11 a barrel. Sensex closed 1016.03 points higher at 58,649.68 whereas Nifty ended 293.05 points higher at 17,469.75.
