Domestic sugar prices traded stable
Domestic sugar prices in the major markets remained stable amid a lackluster trading activity. At higher prices, demand is said to be dull, and buying activity is said to be low.
In Muzaffarnagar, M-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,910 and Rs 3,930 per quintal, whereas S-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,590 and Rs 3,620. Agrimandi predicts that the price of S grade sugar in the Kolhapur market will fall to between Rs 3,520 and Rs 3,660 per quintal within the next two weeks.

International Market
At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $572.20 ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract is trading at 19.52 c/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 83.516 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.1438, Crude futures traded at ₹6667, Crude WTI traded at $79.77 barrel. Sensex closed 260.30 points higher at 72664.47 whereas Nifty closed 97.70 points higher at 22055.20.
