Daily Sugar Market Update By Vizzie – 10/09/2024

ChiniMandi, Mumbai: 10th Sep 2024

Domestic Market

Domestic sugar prices remain steady to weak.

Domestic sugar prices in Uttar Pradesh continued to fall due to weak demand. Prices in Uttar Pradesh were reported to be Rs 10 lower per quintal, while Kolhapur remained stable. Although prices have fallen over the last month, buyers are hesitant to purchase because crushing is expected to begin within the next month or two. Furthermore, crop conditions are reported to be favorable, which is weighing on prices.

M-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,750 and Rs 3,790 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar, whereas S-grade costs between Rs 3,585 and Rs 3,635 in Kolhapur. Agrimandi expects S-grade sugar prices in Kolhapur to fall between Rs 3,530 and Rs 3,660 per quintal in the coming days.
