Domestic sugar prices remained constant to higher.
Following a weak session, domestic sugar prices were reported to be flat or higher. After continuing to plummet, prices in Uttar Pradesh rose by Rs 40-50 per quintal, while in Kolhapur they stayed unchanged. A sudden increase in demand in the evening caused a strong bounce in prices in Uttar Pradesh.
M-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,760 and Rs 3,810 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar, whilst S-grade costs between Rs 3,560 and Rs 3,620 in Kolhapur. Agrimandi forecasts that S-grade sugar prices in Kolhapur will fall between Rs 3,500 and Rs 3,650 per quintal in the next days.
