The domestic market witnessed good demand.
State wise prices today
◾ Maharashtra:S/30 Sugar rates from millers are ₹3190 to ₹3260/Qntl. whereas M/30 ₹3300 to 3350/Qntl.
◾ Karnataka : S/30 Sugar rates were ₹3325 to 3375/Qntl. whereas M/30 ₹3400v to 3450/Qntl.
◾ Uttar Pradesh: The rates for M/30 were at ₹3490 to 3515/Qntl.
◾ Gujarat: S/30 Sugar rates are ₹3281 to 3501/Qntl. whereas M/30 rates are at ₹3351 to 3401/Qntl.
◾ Tamil Nadu: S/30 Sugar rates are ₹3480 to 3525/Qntl. whereas M/30 rates are at ₹3530 to 3550/Qntl.

International Market:
The London White Sugar front month contract is trading at $510.30/ton whereas the New York Sugar front month contract is trading at 19.65/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices:
The rupee traded against the US dollar whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.6568, Crude futures traded at Rs.5411 Crude WTI traded at $71.25 a barrel. Sensex closed 166.33 points lower at 58,117.09 whereas Nifty ended 43.35 points lower at 17,324.90
