Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices continue to trade higher
Prices for sugar in the major domestic markets were continue to trade higher on pick up in demand. Prices in Maharashtra and Karnataka were reported higher by Rs 10 per quintal while prices rose by Rs 10-20 per quintal in Uttar Pradesh and other North Indian markets. Prices are at their lowest level in two months, which is supporting the prices over the last 3 to 4 sessions.
S-grade sugar ranges between Rs 3,770 and Rs 3,820 per quintal in Kolhapur, and M-grade sugar costs between Rs 4,010 and Rs 4,090 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar.

International Market
At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $494.70 ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract is trading at 17.77c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 485-2and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.79500s
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 85.810 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.8419 Crude WTI traded at $61.03 barrel. Sensex closed 1,577.63 points up at 76,734.89 whereas Nifty closed 500.00 points higher at 23,328.55
