The market witnessed scanty demand. Prices
State wise prices today
◾ Maharashtra:S/30 Sugar rates from millers are ₹3200 to ₹3260/Qntl. whereas M/30 ₹3280 to 3330/Qntl.
◾ Karnataka : S/30 Sugar rates were ₹3250 to 3345/Qntl. whereas M/30 ₹3260 to 3310/Qntl.
◾ Uttar Pradesh: The rates for M/30 were at ₹3580 to 3620/Qntl.
◾ Gujarat: S/30 Sugar rates are ₹3281 to 3351/Qntl. whereas M/30 rates are at ₹3381 to 3451/Qntl.
◾ Tamil Nadu: S/30 Sugar rates are ₹3350 to 3525/Qntl. whereas M/30 rates are at ₹3400 to 3525/Qntl.

International Market:
Market Today:
The London White Sugar front month contract is trading at $520.40/ton whereas the New York Sugar front month contract is trading at 20.17/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices:
The rupee traded against the US dollar whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.4811 Crude futures traded at Rs.5939 Crude WTI traded at $79 a barrel. Sensex closed 314.04 points lower at 60,008.33 whereas Nifty ended 100.55 points lower at 17,898.55.
