Domestic sugar prices continue to trade higher.
Domestic sugar prices continue to trade higher for the fourth session as demand is reported to be good. Moreover, as prices are increasing, sellers are remained inactive. Kolhapur prices were reported to be higher by Rs 10-20 per quintal, while Uttar Pradesh prices were reported to be higher by Rs 40-50 per quintal.
In Muzaffarnagar, M-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,840 and Rs 3,900 per quintal, while S-grade costs between Rs 3,590 and Rs 3,660 in Kolhapur. Agrimandi predicts that in the upcoming days, the price of S-grade sugar in Kolhapur will drop to between Rs 3,500 and Rs 3,650 per quintal.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $545.60 ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract is trading at 20.50 c/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 83.724 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.4870, Crude futures traded at ₹5908, Crude WTI traded at $69.37 barrel. Sensex closed 131.43 points lower at 82948.23 whereas Nifty closed 41.00 points lower at 25377.55
