The market witnessed scanty demand.
State wise prices today
◾ Maharashtra:S/30 Sugar rates from millers are ₹3180 to ₹3230/Qntl. whereas M/30 ₹3250 to 3280/Qntl.
◾ Karnataka : S/30 Sugar rates were ₹3250 to 3345/Qntl. whereas M/30 ₹3260 to 3310/Qntl.
◾ Uttar Pradesh: The rates for M/30 were at ₹3520 to 3560/Qntl.
◾ Gujarat: S/30 Sugar rates are ₹3261 to 3341/Qntl. whereas M/30 rates are at ₹3361 to 3421/Qntl.
◾ Tamil Nadu: S/30 Sugar rates are ₹3350 to 3525/Qntl. whereas M/30 rates are at ₹3400 to 3525/Qntl.

Market Today:
The London White Sugar front month contract is trading at $523.80/ton whereas the New York Sugar front month contract is trading at 20.52/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices:
The rupee traded against the US dollar whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.5406 Crude futures traded at Rs.5760 Crude WTI traded at $77.03 a barrel. Sensex closed 372.32 points lower at 59,636.01 whereas Nifty ended 133.85 points lower at 17,764.80.
