Domestic sugar prices were stable
After two sessions of rise, domestic sugar prices were reported to be stable across the centers. Good demand after the recent price fall is supporting the prices in spot markets.
As per the update from the Maharashtra Sugar Commissioner, Maharashtra mills have produced 7.1 MMT with crushing 76.4 MMT of cane. As per the update, around 38 mills are closed operations out of 200 mills operational.
Sugar exports are typically priced between Rs 42,000 and 44,000 per MT. Low-quality whites will be parity till $475 per MT, and London whites of the most active contract is quoting at $534 per MT. S-grade sugar in Kolhapur ranges between Rs 3,730 and 3,800 per quintal, while M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar costs between Rs 4,000 and 4,050.
