Domestic Market
Weak sentiment witnessed in domestic sugar prices
Sluggish demand is continue to weigh on domestic sugar prices across the major spot markets. Demand is said to weak especially from bulk buyers which is weighing on the prices. Prices have fallen by Rs 10-20 per quintal due to dull buying interest. Despite the lower production and lower monthly quota subdued demand is keeping prices in a broader range over the last two months.
S-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,750 and Rs 3,800 per quintal in Kolhapur and M-grade sugar ranges between Rs 3,990 and Rs 4,080 in Muzaffarnagar.

International Market
At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $504.60 ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract is trading at 18.00 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 474-2 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.76000s
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 85.325 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.6874 Crude WTI traded at $63.01 barrel. Sensex closed 315.06 points down at 79801.43 whereas Nifty closed 82.25 points lower at 24246.70
