Domestic sugar prices traded weak
Domestic sugar prices were reported to be weak in the major markets. Prices fell by Rs 10 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar and fell by Rs 5 per quintal in Kolhapur. According to traders, demand is extremely low despite the limited supply, as the monthly quota was lower than expected.
The price range for S-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar was Rs 3,835-3,900 per quintal, whereas in Kolhapur it was Rs 3,610-3,650. Agrimandi expects S-grade sugar prices in the Kolhapur market to range between Rs 3,600 and Rs 3,750 per quintal in the next two weeks.
