Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh: Bhartiya Kisan Sangh has demanded that the government should initiate action against the sugar mills that have not yet cleared the pending cane arrears.
According to the media report, organisation’s state convenor, Shyamveer Tyagi, said, “Sugarcane farmers are under financial distress. Their situation is deteriorating day by day as the sugar mills are not clearing their pending cane arrears.”
“The government should take steps to ensure that the sugar mills clear their pending arrears. Apart from this, the government should waive off the interest on the bank loans and power bills”, he further added.
