Dhampur: Dhampur sugar mill has registered record sugarcane crushing in the ongoing season. Mill has broken the previous season record as well, reports Amar Ujala.
In last season the mill had secured top rank in the country after crushing 239 lakh quantal sugarcane in 212 days. This season too, the mill has marked new achievement by crushing 244 lakh quantal sugarcane in 215 days. Sugarcane crushing of the mill concluded on Wednesday.
M R Khan, unit head of the mill said that this was possible due to the support of the sugarcane farmers. They provided clean and good quality cane for crushing.
The mill has cleared cane dues of farmers that have supplied cane to the mill till May 17.
