Dhampur, Uttar Pradesh: Dhampur sugar mill will commence the sugarcane crushing on October 30, and also released indents to sugarcane committees on October 25, reported Amar Ujala.
Sugarcane weighing will begin at all 178 centers on October 28. Indents for sugarcane have been issued to all 50,000 farmers via SMS on their mobile phones. The crushing season will be inaugurated on October 30 at 9:00 a.m.
As per media report, Sugarcane manager Omvir Singh said that Dhampur sugar mill released indents for 2.27 lakh quintals of sugarcane to sugarcane committees on October 25 for weighing on October 28, 29, and 30. Committees issued tickets to farmers by sending SMS on their mobile phones. Indents of 70,000 quintals each were released for October 28 and 29, while an indent of 87,000 quintals was released for October 30.
Dhampur Sugar Mill had 206 sugarcane weighing centers, but 28 of these centers were transferred to the Changipur Purani mill, leaving 178 centers at Dhampur mill. All 178 centers have been set up by the mill.
