Discrepancies found in sugarcane survey-satta of 8 farmers

Meerut, Uttar Pradesh: The irregularities found in the sugarcane survey-satta are causing distress to the farmers. In response to the farmers’ complaints, District Sugarcane Officer Dr. Dushyant Kumar inspected the sugarcane survey-satta in Jhinjharapur village. At the location, 34 farmers reviewed the list of 63 columns, revealing discrepancies in the information of 8 farmers. These farmers submitted petitions for amendments.

Dr. Dushyant Kumar appealed to the farmers to thoroughly review the 63-column information so that their preliminary calendar and subsequent main calendar can be issued in the coming month. After August 31, it will not be possible to consider amendments. Kumar advised the farmers to proceed with the harvesting of their sugarcane crop and to avoid using urea in standing sugarcane crops. In the upcoming sugarcane planting, priority should be given to the latest improved varieties, and planting at a depth of five feet using trenching should be emphasized for natural farming.

Out of 34 sugarcane farmers, eight have raised objections regarding the details about them reflected in the sugarcane survey during the demonstrations, reports Live Hindustan.

Based on the complaints raised by farmers, Sugarcane officer Dr. Dushyant Kumar inspected the cane survey demonstration organized at Zinzarpur village and found the irregularities in details of 8 farmers.

The officials corrected the information and handed over the revised details to these farmers.

DCO Kumar has appealed to farmers to check all the details regarding their cane crop mentioned in the sugarcane survey till August 31 which will be uploaded on a website later on.
