Bhavaninagar: Shri Chhatrapati co-Operative sugar mill has sweetened the Diwali of farmers and workers by declaring additional payments and bonus to them.
The mill took crushing of 8.96 lakh metric tonnes of sugarcane for the season 2018-19 and has paid the bill according to Rs 2,500 per tonne. Due to Diwali, now the mill has transferred Rs 100 per tonne deducting Rs 10 for development to the farmers’ account.
The mill administration said that earlier the 5 per cent bonus for Makar Sankrant were given to workers, and now a 10 per cent bonus for Diwali.
