Balrampur: District Magistrate Arvind Singh held a meeting at the collectorate on Thursday with the officials of sugar mills. DM directed the officials to ensure 100% payment of sugarcane dues, reported Live Hindustan.
During the meeting at the collectorate office on Thursday, DM discussed various issues with the managers of sugar mills. While conducting the meeting, he emphasized the need for sugar mills to provide all facilities to sugarcane farmers in a timely and transparent manner.
He mentioned that Balrampur and Tulsipur have made 100% payment to farmers within 14 days of the crushing season. In the meeting, Additional District Magistrate Judicial Pramod Kumar, District Cane Officer, and managers of sugar mills were present.
