Shamli, Uttar Pradesh: DM Jasjit Kaur has asked all the sugar mills in the district to clear the pending cane arrears before December 15. He warned of action in case of non-payment.
In the meeting with the sugar mills officials, DM reviewed the outstanding sugarcane price payment. He has asked sugar mills to clear the pending dues on a priority basis.
Farmers claim due to pandemic, they are suffering from the financial crisis. Therefore they demanded pending dues from sugar mills.
