Munderwa (Basti): According to the news report published in Amarujala.com, newly appointed DM Soumya Agrawal inspected the sugar mill on Wednesday. She inspected the cane collection centres, weighing machines, and trolleys to ensure that everything is running smoothly.
The mill administration has declared that the sugarcane crushing will be closed on 11th March.
Diwan Chandra Patel, vice president of the BKU said the sugarcane crops are still lying in the cane fields and if the mill closes its operation then there will be no takers for the remaining cane. The farmers will not be able to bear the losses and we will launch an agitation if the mill decides to stop operations.
