Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath will soon launch an ‘e-ganna’ app to bring transparency in the sugarcane sector and save farmers from exploitation in the state.
This is one more step of the state government towards digitalisation.
The app will help farmers to get details about the crop, its value and payments by the mills into their accounts.
Speaking to a leading news agency, Sanjay Bhusreddy, Principal secretary (sugar and cane development) said, “The nexus between politicians and ganna mafia exploit cane growers by manipulating their farm produce. The app will keep a check on this.”
The presentation has been given to the CM, and an app will be launched soon.
