Efforts are on to make closed sugar mills operational again: Yogi Adityanath

Varanasi: After accusation that UP government is stalling development projects, state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath slammed the opposition.

According to the news report published in The Times of India, He said, “he did not sell the land of closed sugar mills like the predecessor and gave four lakh jobs without any caste discrimination.”

Speaking on the occasion of foundation laying of several development projects at Mau collectorate, he targeted Samajwadi chief Akhilesh Yadav without naming him.

Earlier, Yadav had alleged that during our reign, we ensured the starting of a cooperative sugar mill in Sathiaon, Azamgarh but dues of sugarcane farmers here are in crores despite tall claims of the chief minister.

CM said, “We are taking steps to revive the closed sugar mills. The cases of some sugar mills are under litigation and efforts are being made for their early disposal, after which they will also be reopened.”
