Egypt’s Egyptian Sugar and Integrated Industries Company (ESIIC) is seeking 50,000 tonnes of raw sugar in a tender, reported Reuters.
As per media report, the deadline for offers is October 7, 2023.
Last week, Egypt’s Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Ali Moselhi, announced plans to import 200,000 tonnes of raw sugar, adding that the shipment is expected to arrive soon.
Minister Moselhi emphasized that this move is part of Egypt’s ongoing commitment to bolster its strategic reserves, ensuring they remain adequate for a minimum of six months.
