TruAlt Bioenergy has secured a contract to supply ethanol to Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) as part of the ethanol blending program for the Ethanol Supply Year (ESY) 2024-25. According to a media statement, this contract encompasses a total volume of 300 million litres.
Additionally, TruAlt Bioenergy has received an order to supply around 65 million litres of ethanol to private sector clients. The company will also be catering 50 million litres of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) to various industries.
Vijay Nirani, Founder and Managing Director of TruAlt Bioenergy, emphasized the company’s dedication to collaborating with the government to enhance blending levels, stating, “TruAlt Bioenergy is committed to working closely with the government as we progress toward higher blending levels, ensuring we remain a consistent and reliable partner in achieving India’s long-term energy security goals.”
He further noted, “With this latest tender, our aim is to make a significant contribution to the nation’s Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) programme, not only to meet the 20 per cent blending target but also to support the roadmap beyond this milestone.”
OMCs have allocated around 837 crore liters of ethanol against 970 crore liters of offers submitted by manufacturers across the country for ESY 2024-25 – Cycle 1. OMCs had invited tenders for the supply of 916 crore liters of ethanol for ESY 2024-25.
