New Delhi: 20 per cen ethanol blend fuel will be available at selected outlets in the country from next month, said Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, reports The New Indian Express.
The vehicles need not have to make any changes for using 20% ethanol blend fuel, he said.
“We have achieved 10% ethanol blending in June 2022 ahead of set deadline of November 2022. Now we have set a target of achieving 20% blending by 2025-26” he said.
Along with achieving energy security goals we are reducing pollution by setting up 2G refineries to produce ethanol from Parali (Panipat) and Bamboo (Numaligarh), he said.
