Pandol, Bihar: Ethanol factory will be set up at the premises of the Lohat sugar mill in the district, reports Live Hindustan.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be performed on February 22 by deputy chief minister Tejaswi Yadav.
The Bihar government has allotted 50-acre land for setting up the ethanol plant. This project is expected to generate employment for 10,000 people and the plant is expected to produce 5 lakh liters of ethanol per day.
The plant will require 130-tonne maize, rice, and sugarcane per day as raw material to produce ethanol. The plant will produce poultry feed and animal feed as a byproduct along with ethanol production.
