Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the newly established distillery by Keyaan Distilleries in GIDA Sector 26 on April 6. Built at an estimated cost of Rs. 1,200 crore, the distillery will produce 3.5 lakh liters of ethanol daily, reported Live Hindustan.
According to the company’s Managing Director, Vinay Kumar Singh, this facility is the largest ethanol factory in Asia and will use grains as raw material for ethanol production. The plant’s operations are expected to boost agricultural product procurement, directly benefiting farmers.
The factory had already undergone a trial run 30 days ago. Initially, the inauguration was planned for April 2, but it has now been rescheduled to April 6.
