Delhi: Union agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that the government is ready to hold discussion with farmers over farm law.
He urged the farmers to go through the proposal of amendments that the government is planning to incorporate. Addressing a press conference, he said that the farm laws are beneficial for the farmers and farm leaders should discuss the benefits.
Tomar said, “I urge unions to set a date for discussion; we are ready to listen.”
According to the media report, Tomar said, “Laws made by the Govt have been formed after a lot of deliberation – to bring a change in lives of farmers, to remove the justice that was being done to them for years. It was done to ensure that farmers could leave better lives and indulge in beneficial agriculture.”
