Gurdaspur: Sugarcane farmers have joined the on-going agitation launched at Delhi against the three farm laws.
Cane growers do not carry their produce to the APMC markets and have been assured the State Advised Price (SAP). Though farmers feel they can be the next target.
Thousands of farmers from this sugarcane-rich district have visited Delhi to support the tractor rally. According to the news report published in Tribuneindia.com, farmers say “if the government doesn’t support paddy and wheat-growing farmers today, sugarcane growers could be the next target tomorrow.”
