Baraut, Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane farmers agitating for the pending cane arrears from Malakpur sugar mill called off their agitation after the mill unit head assured them to clear the dues by February 15, 2021.
Farmers from Bawli, Malakpur, Jaunmana and Dhikana villages stormed at the gate of the sugar mill demanding pending sugarcane dues on Monday.
Apart from the pending dues, the farmers made several demands including facilities of drinking water, stay at mills premises and other demands.
Mill unit head Bipin Chaudhary assured the farmers to look after all the demands and clear pending cane arrears by February 15, 2021.
