Farmers affiliated with BKU (Tikait) visited the camp office to meet with State Minister Baldev Singh Aulakh, under the leadership of district spokesperson Manjeet Singh Atwal, reported Live Hindustan.
They briefed the minister about the deteriorating condition of the Rudra-Bilas sugar mill and the difficulties faced by sugarcane farmers, demanding the construction of a new sugar mill. The minister acknowledged his awareness of the issue and assured that efforts are being made at the government level. A new sugar mill will be constructed soon. Present at the meeting were Gulab Singh Chauhan, Subedar Ranjit Singh, Subedar Tribhuvan Singh, Hanspal Singh Negi, Ummed Singh, Kushal Singh, and others.
