Khadda : Sugarcane farmers have demanded that their sugarcane be allocated to the IPL Sugar Mill in Khadda, reports Amar Ujala. The demand was made in a meeting of the Sugarcane Protection Committee that was held on Friday at the Cooperative Sugarcane Committee Khadda campus to discuss the allocation of sugarcane to various mills.
Supriyamay Malviya, Chairman of the Sugarcane Development Council Khadda, Shrikishun Yadav, Chairman of the Sugarcane Committee, Secretary Prahlad, Senior Inspector Pawan, and IPL Sugar Mill Khadda’s Sugarcane Manager Sudhir Kumar attended the meeting. Representatives from Gadora, Dhaha, Ramkola, Pipraich, and other sugar mills also presented proposals for the allocation of sugarcane.
Farmers, including Ramsahay Dubey, Prabhu Maddheshiya, Nilesh, and Vinod, voiced their request that the sugarcane from purchase centres such as Sohgibarwa, Shivpur, Hariharpur, Bal Govind Chapra, Doma, Madanpur, Kalnahi, Shivdutt Chapra, Parshurampur, Sheshar Chapra, and Parsauni be allocated to the IPL Sugar Mill in Khadda.
The farmers emphasized that the capacity of the IPL Sugar Mill is being expanded in response to local farmers’ demands, making it necessary to supply the mill with sugarcane from the region.
