Sambhal: Sugarcane farmers under the banner of the Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Association have demanded the government to ensure that the sugar millers clear pending cane dues, reports Live Hindustan.
A delegation of the organization met SDM Sunil Kumar Trivedi and handed over the memorandum of their demands in this regard addressed to the Chief Minister.
The delegation has stated that the Vinash Sugar mill, Manzawali owes cane dues of farmers from 2006-07. The mill has not paid the dues against the cane crushed during the 2022-23 season till January 4.
Farmers have urged the government to look into the matter of pending cane dues as well as other issues related to them.
