Shamli, Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane farmers have launched a sit-in agitation at the DCO office demanding action against the Upper Doab sugar mill for not paying cane dues, reports Live Hindustan.
Farmers have claimed that the sugar mill owes dues worth Rs 270 crore and the mill is stating to clear dues in the next season.
They have urged DCO to register FIR against the mill and initiate action against it by issuing RC.
