Farmers give an ultimatum of October 30 for payment of cane dues

Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh: A village panchayat was convened in the village of Rathoda in the region to address issues related to sugarcane payment. During the panchayat, farmers issued a warning to mill employees, setting a deadline for sugarcane payment until October 30, reported Live Hindustan.

The panchayat, organized for farmers in the sugarcane mill area on Sunday, aimed to address the ongoing concerns regarding sugarcane payment. Addressing the panchayat, farmers expressed that they have been greatly distressed by the issue of sugarcane payment. Farmers issued a warning to Mukesh Malik, the mill manager, and Vijay Jain, the accountant, stating that if the payment of Rs 300 crore for the farmers’ sugarcane is not made by October 30, the farmers will stage a protest at the residence of the mill owner in Delhi on November 1.
