Gorakhpur: Sugarcane farmers in Gorakhpur district are shifting to banana cultivation as they are getting good returns from banana cultivation than that of sugarcane, reports Amar Ujala.
The region was once called the sugar bowl of the region but the delay in cane payment has resulted in farmers shifting to the cultivation of other crops like bananas.
