Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane farmers from Lumb village launched sit-in agitation at sugar mill after it reduced the three cane collection centres. They called off agitation after the mill administration assured them to look into the matter.
According to the news report published in Amarujala.com, farmers reached Ramala sugar mill and attempted to meet the General manager, DR RB Ram, over the problem of cutting down three purchasing centres, but failed to meet him. Following which farmers commenced protest. Later General manager rushed to the spot and assured them to look into their demand.
