Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane farmers under the banner of Rashtriya Lok Dal protested outside the district collectorate demanding payment of cane dues with interest on it, reports Amar Ujala.
The agitating farmers submitted a memorandum of their demands to the district collector including payment of cane dues with interest on it and other demands addressed to the chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
Chaudhari Pankaj Pradhan, the district unit head of RLD, highlighted the financial burden faced by farmers due to the delayed payment of cane dues by sugar mills. He urged the government to take immediate action, ensuring that the sugar mills expeditiously clear the pending cane dues while also compensating farmers with the appropriate interest amounts.
