Shamli, Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane farmers have threatened to launch an agitation if the sugar mill fails to clear pending cane arrears before October 30. According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, they have presented the memorandum of their demands addressing the chief minister to District sugarcane officer.
Farmers claim that the festival season is approaching and they are finding it difficult to meet their daily needs. They have given a deadline of October 30 to the sugar mills to clear their dues.
