Sugar Minister Charan Jeath Singh has announced that cane prices in Fiji may rise to $95 per tonne this season, and could potentially reach $100 before the next General Election, as stated during his address in Parliament.
As Per news report, Singh informed Parliament that seven engineers from India, who recently arrived in the country, will be visiting the Fiji Sugar Corporation in Rakiraki. Their objective is to assess and prepare a report on the feasibility of constructing a new ethanol mill in the area.
