Focus on resolving sugarcane farmers issue

Balrampur: The annual meeting of the Cooperative Sugarcane Development Committee Limited, Balrampur, was held in the committee hall, where a strategy was devised to address the issues faced by farmers, reported Live Hindustan.

The event was presided over by the Chief Guest, former Sugarcane Chairman Ranveer Singh, and the special guest was District Sugarcane Officer R.K. Kushwaha. The meeting was chaired by Senior Sugarcane Development Inspector and Special Secretary Avinash Singh.

The Chief Guest emphasized the importance of promptly addressing the problems faced by sugarcane farmers. The District Sugarcane Officer assured priority-based solutions to issues related to farmers’ dues.

During the meeting, they discussed various issues, including the allocation of sugarcane through the model bylaws and the determination of sugarcane sessions.

The representatives were urged to thoroughly inspect surveys related to sugarcane quotas to ensure smooth sugarcane supply during the season. District Sugarcane Officer R.K. Kushwaha appealed to farmers to plant more sugarcane to increase yields.

Former chairman Anand Singh, Rahul Mani Tiwari, Ramanand Pandey, Chandra Bhan Pandey, and Dwarika Prasad were present for the meeting.
