Kanpur: Officials from the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution under the leadership of Dhirendra Kumar, Director, Department of Food & Public Distribution visited the National Sugar Institute, Kanpur on Friday.
The team inspected the academic area, residential buildings, offices, hostels, and institute premises and observed the compliance of instructions of the ministry regarding the cleanliness of the premises.
Ashok Garg, Nodal Officer, Swachhta Mission informed the officials about the cleanliness programmes launched by the institute in the local schools and public places and the distribution of masks and sanitary items to the people there.
During the meeting, Dhirendra Kumar asked the institute staff to arrange special lectures on cleanliness by inviting outside experts to educate students.
