Former MLA Rajesh Shukla expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Sugarcane Minister Saurabh Bahuguna for their efforts in paying Rs. 21 crores to sugarcane farmers of the Kichha sugar mill.
According to the news report published in Live Hindustan, during their meeting in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, on Thursday, Shukla informed the CM that over two lakh quintals of extra sugarcane were harvested this year compared to the previous year. He also mentioned that the Dhami government had already paid sugarcane farmers Rs. 118 crore during the current crushing season. Shukla requested the CM for the remaining payment of Rs. 28 crore, which Bahuguna assured him would be paid soon.
