Ara: Four ethanol plants are ready for inauguration in Bihar, said Industries Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain on Friday.
Addressing a four-day national MSME EXPO organised at Ramna Maidan, the minister said that the government will inaugurate India’s largest ethanol plant having a production capacity of 4 lakh litres of ethanol at Bhojpur in March.
Shahnawaz and Awadhesh Narain Singh, acting chairperson of Bihar legislative council, jointly inaugurated the expo organised by Bhojpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
Minister said, “The other plants, two at Gopalganj and one at Purnia would be inaugurated soon.”
The centre has approved setting up 15 more ethanol plants in Bihar, he further added.
Bihar is the first state in the country that has announced the ethanol production policy. The state is promoting ethanol production to become one of the leading ethanol producers in the country.
